Captain(s): Al Clemens

A season-ending 14-7 win over Tulane in New Orleans clinched a winning season (5-4-2) for an Alabama team that was rebuilding after losing most of its stars from the 1920 squad. No Bama players were named to postseason all-star honor lists and a sophomore Al Clemens, who would later be the first captain under Wallace Wade, served as the team's captain.
Significantly, Scott hired Hank Crisp as one of his assistant coaches in '21. Coach Hank would become a Bama legend in his own right before dying at his State of Alabama Hall of Fame induction in 1970. |

Notes: Alabama plays LSU in New Orleans for the only time in the series. |
