Alabama vs.Florida
Alabama controlled much of the game and led for the first three quarters but in the end the Gators of Florida, on Homecoming in Tuscaloosa, upset the Tide by a score of 21-30. Clell Hobson scored Bama's first touchdown on a 10 yard run. Ed Lary would also score a touchdown on a 78 yard pass play from George McCain. In the final quarter Florida came back and booted a field goal and scored a touchdown to give them the win. The 1951 squad finished with a record of 5-6 for Coach Red Drew.
